Bearded dragons can eat raspberries, but only in moderation. They have some great benefits, but also some concerning consequences if a bearded dragon is feed too many.
When feeding your bearded dragon raspberries, it is recommended to cut them in half for larger beardies, or in quarters for juveniles. If you’re not sure what size to cut the raspberries, remember that the pieces should not be any larger or wider than the space between your beaded dragon’s eyes.

Raspberries should be given sparingly to your bearded dragon – not more than once or twice a month. Raspberries are a delicious fruit, and bearded dragons tend to like them. They are full of antioxidants, and high in nutritional value, but do have some drawbacks.
Like bananas, raspberries tend to have a higher phosphorus to calcium ratio, preventing calcium from being absorbed. Bearded dragons rely heavily on calcium for strong bone structure. You don’t want your bearded dragon to develop metabolic bone disease (MDB).
Raspberries have oxalates, which can cause kidney stones in your beardie. They are also very high in sugar and water. This can cause obesity and diarrhea.

Fruits should be tasty additions to your beardies’ salad, not the main course. Give your beardie a variety of fruits, but remember – they should not have fruit every day.
